I just booked flu + covid vax online at the Medicine Shoppe Crowfoot location in Calgary. But I did have trouble finding a pharmacy that offers covid vax. Last time I got Calgary Co-op to order covid vax for me, although they didn't offer it thru online booking.

So booking a covid and flu vaccine, or either one, through the Alberta Health Services online is a nightmare. I've been on the site for 20 minutes, and there are ZERO places in my town of 40,000 to get a covid vaccine. London Drugs, my regular choice, has not been allowed covid vaxx.

What sometimes irks me about the narrative that is used to justify public spending for the O&G industry is the “creates jobs” point. Yeah if a government states they are investing $40B into any industry it’s going to find jobs to use that money. Generally O&G jobs are declining.

Perhaps because a lot of the oil and gas industry is US-owned? "The four biggest oil and gas companies that were the primary focus of this study — Canadian Natural Resources (CNRL), Cenovus Energy, Imperial Oil, and Suncor Energy — are an average of 60% American-owned and only 27% Canadian owned."
