Rewatching 'Lower Decks', because self care, and I arrived at season two's 'An Embarrassment of Dooplers'. It didn't really register for me previously that Mariner declared that Boimler had to grow a beard when she made him her Number One. Only took three seasons, but he got there.

The discourse (gross) about this season of ‘Strange New Worlds’ has been really interesting to me. A lot of what I’ve seen or what has been shown to me is people complaining about how each episode has had a gimmick. And, like, that’s a Star Trek, baby.
