TIL about `walk()` where have I been living that I had never used it!!! So if I understand this correctly, it differs from `map()` because it shows me not the end result but a process like what you get with `glimpse()`. #rstats

A small #rstats blog post following up on last week's on sample size and the central limit theorem. How well does BCa bootstrap do in comparison to older methods for a confidence interval for the mean from a skewed population? Better, but not a magic fix. freerangestats.info/blog/2026/09...

Scatter plot comparing coverage of 95% confidence interval of BCa bootstrap with traditional CI calculated based on asymptotic normality. For various sample sizes and population distributions. BCa does better, but still less than the 95% one would hope.

what I am missing from the p.value discourse are applied examples of when a p.value less then or greater than .05 is approporiate. Eg, given the questions outcomes / applications/ sensitivities/ use cases, how they determined what is the more appropriate pvalue for that test would help alot
