It is, but if you want to go many places in southwestern Saint Paul it forces a 2 or 3 transfer trip from the U of M. I'm all for transfers, but wherever possible we should create a network that limits the amount of transfers you need in a trip to 1 or 2.

One more note on the E Line, it should eventually extend to Raymond Ave because there isn't really any good north south routes that it connects to east of Central. The 30 exists going north, but because it curves off towards N Mpls, it's not as useful as the 87, and doesn't go south.

I've definitely been backed up for a long time on 4th street before, but agree that its usually not as bad as University

I'd love to see what this looks like in Saint Paul. I have to imagine its even worse. Minneapolis has a 230% bigger budget in 2026, but yet Saint Paul residents pay more on average in property and sales taxes.

Not using a headway-based management instead of trying to adhere to a timetable. No bus lanes on University/4th despite their being 3 car lanes in sections.

Every year, it becomes safer, more comfortable, and more accessible to walk, bicycle, or take transit in Minneapolis. At the margin, this means enormous savings for some households—savings that largely recirculate in our local economy, rather than going to out-of-state car makers or oil companies.

For the past few years, AAA's has estimated that the average new car will cost its owner roughly $1k/mo, or $12k/yr. The single most impactful way for most American households to cut their spending would be to reduce the # of cars they own by one. But the built environment needs to be amenable.

That is definitely a problem, and LRT is the reason why ridership is down. But I'm also concerned that there was only a 0.3% increase in bus ridership in a year we opened 3 new BRT lines.

The same mayor who told the police chief not to come to a community forum that was attended by every city councilmember about this event. (Besides one who was on maternity leave, and provided a statement) We need genuine accountability, not empty words of support. The East Side will remember this.

There's no reason a street that has a bus route on it in Minneapolis or Saint Paul should have two car lanes in the same direction on it, but no bus lanes.

I was going for Benfica until their players and fans started making racist remarks, chants, and throwing things on the field at Vini Jr. I don't know how no one from their team was sent off with a red card, and how the game was allowed to continue. That should've forced a forfeit.

The United States, a country where we have historically underfunded infrastructure, but thats okay because we have some really nice stadiums, that you can only attend if you buy tickets that are way too expensive compared to peer nations.

That's not even getting into how we should have promotion and relegation so that relocationing, and robbing the local fans of their team is the only way to expand into new markets. Which incentivizes blackmailing the government into bankrolling these megaprojects

Sports teams should be a non-profit that is collectively owned by supporters who elect a board of directors and one of the board members should be required to be a member of the local city council. I love sports! I'm so tired of paying for stadiums owned by billionaires www.enr.com/articles/625...

And I prefer action versus sitting around and doing nothing for 30 years even tho Tamarack is better right now. Another route needs to serve it eventually, but for now Metro Micro can handle it

There needs to be a tunnel under 94 at Hazel an infill station west of White Bear and a connection to the Target (Fuck them for supporting ICE tho), and a bridge at Greenway. I preferred Tamarack at first, but I respect that Woodbury committed to redeveloping around Bielenburg

The arrests of Don Lemon and Georgia Fort, plus the New York Times story about using facial recognition to take away PreCheck and Global Entry from observers, reveals how closely linked these two missions are. There is no separating ICE’s twin missions of ethnic cleansing and ideological terror.
