In Men's Basketball, St Thomas and North Dakota State are a combined 14-1 in conference play with the only loss being St Thomas to North Dakota State in Fargo They play again in Saint Paul on Feb 26th College Sports is so much better when conferences are regional and everyone plays each other!

Instead of creating Route 48, a new hourly bus, why not just extend the 30? We don't need to create a new route with terrible frequency that duplicates the 30 and the C Line for part of the way. Transferring to the C/D/22/14 isn't bad on the 30. Not every route needs to go to downtown.

The current plan is to route it past The Heights which is needed with the new development there. I'm hoping that when the Bronze Line is built that instead of the 58 (The proposed separating of the Eastside 54) turning on Maryland that it will go north to connect to the 61 so that the same trip

If we put our heads in the sand and pretend that the demand for AV's will go away if we ban them permanently. When they do get legalized, we will see an even steeper decline in transit use than when Uber's became mainstream.

AV's won't change the fundamental geometry problem of cars, or the pollution they cause. They've caused unmanned cars to drive aimlessly around the city waiting for a ride. Or if people own the AV, they'll send it home after dropping them off to avoid paying for parking.

Just witnessed three kids almost get run over by a speeding car running thru a residential stop sign after doing donuts in a parking lot. The speed that car was going, those kids would be dead if they were hit. For as much as we hear about homicides, people are crickets over deaths by car.

In 2023, The B Line averaged 8400 riders. So 3 months in there's 1400 more riders than the previous service. 3 months into the Gold Line there's about 1200 more riders than the previous service (there was no service that wasn't express).

9800 riders per weekday on the B Line in September. Gold Line ridership is up 600 since its debut. It takes time for suburban BRT ridership to develop. But just like the Orange Line, we are seeing consistent growth!

While 12 to 18 months is true for urban lines. Suburban lines take a lot longer to reach their potential due to land use changes and people who don't usually take transit discovering it as a good option. The Orange Line is still seeing consistent growth 44 months since it opened.

The orange line is continuing to grow and it started out with worse ridership then the Gold Line. It takes time for land use to change, and people to discover that this is a reliable and fast option.

Look at how the Orange Line has grown in ridership, and it started with even less ridership than the Gold Line. When more people realize that its a reliable option, and land use changes in response to the line it will continue to grow. And that's without mentioning the extension to Minneapolis
