artists support each other when systems will not. there's little safety net. it is resilience. artists are not your competitors. artists are your peers, mentors, and the ones who will defend the ability to create sustainably. to those who struggle to continue drawing, you are an artist.

I hope the alt text is ok!

The 7th page is actually the same 6th page, but the blank pink box on it folds open to reveal 2 images; one of 2 boxes outlined in pink and one of 2 women.

The first box is an assembled open box, labeld, "WOMAN". The second is disassembled and flat, under it (not on the box) says the same text. There is text on the next page pointing to the boxes, and it says, "IF THIS IS THE CASE, THEN MAYBE I'M NOT AS STRAIGHT AS I THOUGHT I WAS..."

The women on the right have different coloured hair, the orange haired one has short hair, and the pink haired one has longer hair and is styled as high twin tails. Both are smiling at each other.

This is the back cover spread open to also reveal the front cover on the right side of the image. There are 4 tiny purple humans in different poses on the back cover. Above the 2 on the right side, is a "KEEP OUR CITY CLEAN" stamp of the packaging that depicts 2 people throwing trash.

Underneath the 4 tiny humans on the back cover, is the artist's BlueSky handle: "kentoes.bsky.social".

"I was straight" (+in replies) A zine made using paper packaging, leftover sticker frames, papers, and old ballpen sketches. Assembled 16 May 2025

The bottom of a white paper bag, cut into a square and assembled as a zine. This is the front cover. To the left is a drawing of a small purple person. In the middle is a close up of a smirking woman, drawn with a pink marker. There is a full pink heart underneath her portrait. To the right is a strip of the cover coloured in pink marker, with a different woman drawn smiling, she has wide eyes. There is a half heart drawin in orange marker.

The right side of the image is the back of the front cover. It is the design of the Dunkin' Donut Philippines packaging–big short slightly curved lines to represent orange and pink sprinkles all over the white packaging.

The right side of the image is the first page: a woman with pink hair and an orange shirt in the middle of the square page. The shirt says, "ACTUALLY GAY". 2 different small humans are behind her, almost in a line, far from each other.

The text says, "I WAS STRAIGHT–all throughout my life."

The 3rd page is a colourful mess of dark blue, neon orange, and neon pink. There is a portrait of a woman. Her hair is neon pink. Her mouth is a little open and her eyebrows are raised, and her face flustered. Another smaller woman is in the middle, highlighted by an empty sticker frame. In the same frame is an outline of an unidentified person, and the words, "I WAS" above it. The words are connected to "STRAIGHT" next to the sticker frame, on the 4th page.

The 4th page is titled "I WAS STRAIGHT–" (as mentioned) "–until I shaved my head." The image below this is a bald woman's sparkling head. Her eyes a bright blue-green and her eyelashes extensive. Her portrait is cut off there.

Both 5th and 6th pages have a neon pink background, with a bit of the Dunkin Donut packaging design peeking through on the 6th page. This page is seemingly blank.

The 5th page highlights 2 cutouts; a white rounded rectangle acting as a speech bubble for an unknown, off-page speaker, saying, "you're so brave". The other cutout is a bust of a woman, wearing a square neckline black blouse and a heart necklace. She is pensive about the comment to her.

On her left is the following text, "I REFLECTED on my identity, then my sexuality." The bottom of the page are three black stripes.

Hello #PortfolioDay 🌿 I’m Lio, a comic artist and illustrator who loves to draw ocs, fantasy, ghosts and more recently cowboys ✨ Currently looking for work, I have previously worked on TTRPGs, comic covers and book covers, i’d love to do more. 🍄 kroovcomics@hotmail.com 🍄‍🟫 Portfolio: kroov.club

Various backgrounds with an autumnal vibe. The first two are of a cottage with a garden full of veggies in front of it. They show the house in the day and night. The second one is the inside of the house with warm wooden floors, green walls and sort of furniture you’d find in your grandparents house. The next is a cat doll in a little house shaped case. The bottom row has an ornate gate, a car driving, the inside of the car and then a graveyard with a man with long green hair kicking one of the graves.

6 game sprites of the same character showing various emotions. The character has a cowboy style with a big black coat and hat, purple waist coat and little red bow tie. He has long green hair done in three braids and half his face is scarred. He has red pupils with yellow scalars and yellow teeth. The expressions from top left to bottom right are him looking disgusted, laughing, angry, smiley, neutral and then explaining with a smile

A man with a goat like face takes a draw from his cigarette and laughs, its revelled he’s playing Texas hold ‘em and has played a royal flush. The other people playing with his look unhappy meanwhile he’s smiling away with a slight dream works face but more smug

Comic cover for Critical Roles “tales of Exandria Artagan” featuring Artagan an elf with long ginger hair sprawled over a pulpit in-front of a bunch of fake trees, plants and smiling animals thats covering up the scared real animals and destroyed dead trees. He’s a rascal

Hi #portfolioday! I'm Julie Dillon, and I'm a freelance artist working mostly on MtG cards and book covers. Here are a few personal paintings I've done in the past year. :)

A large ocean wave is about to overtake a bedraggled man in a weathered rowboat. He looks distressed about this, knowing he's not going to be able to get clear of the wave in time.

A rusalka possessively embraces a man she's pulled under water in a pond; he doesn't appear to be struggling against her very much.

We peer through ornate curtains at a king kneeling before a man in armor who stands before him. The king gazes up at the knight and is in the process of shrugging out of his ornate robes, which trail behind him. The knight cradles the king's face in one hand, and the king has a hand on the knight's armored leg.

A medusa in gold jewelry with gold rattlesnakes for hair, clutching the stone head of a king and breaking it to pieces while making intense eye contact with the viewer.

At last! Finished page: how a star forms, what fuels it, & how it forges new forms into being! A star is a momentary reversal - a wellspring of possibilities that makes life possible. This took me some time to figure out to say the least - but geeked to be done & move onward! #Nostos #Unflattening 2

Comics page on how a star forms, what’s going on inside, and how it’s generating new elements over its lifetime - and a reversal of entropy’s downward flow towards disorder. There’s a drawing of a star that’s about the width of the page in the center - realistic on its outside and diagrammatic on the interior. Running through it from top of page to bottom of page - is an hourglass like shape with various panels, sort of like greek meanders ornamenting it that detail various parts of the narrative here. The interior of the star shape is in four quadrants (a bit of the middle and the center are carved out by the hourglass, which i’ll get to next). upper left quadrant is a diagram of the force of gravity versue the resistance pressue of atoms being shoved together - represented by black arrows drawing inward and white drawing outward - which make a circular star shape complete with the tails of the black arrows as rays of the star. the background for this panel is a warped grid as space would be warped by this massive object. Upper right panel is a closeup on just a few of these white and black arrows - and within them - filled with more closely packed particles and then also tiny arrows pressing from outside. Lower left panel has the path light takes to leave a star - a brownian motion trail, bouncing around randomly in all sorts of directions before eventually leaving the star. The final panel within the star is a more realistic depiction of what the regions within the star might look like. On the hourglass, there are periodic stripes with panels inside them - in the other spaces, we see circles as simplified particles falling down this funnel and getting closer together as they near the center (as with hydrogen falling into a star). the first row of panels is a series of hourglasses - with sand running down. The next one is a quick retelling of the birth of the universe to the first filaments. Then the hourglasses again, now they are spinning, sand running uphill. T…
