Seattle is pretty standard "coastal city" pricing in housing etc. 6 figure income or reliable roomies are the only real tricks inside city limits. Things are (somewhat) more reasonably priced in the surrounding suburbs, but you lose out on the "Seattle" part in Snohomish or Pierce counties.

July was ICE’s busiest month yet in the Puget Sound region. It’s a stealthy surge, without the helicopters or smoke grenades of Chicago and MN. But the surge is real, with real people taken every day. Each red pin is someone’s family member, neighbor, coworker, loved one.
