When Phillipe had visited the water park was closed for "maintenance." A child had drowned and safety protocols were being revisited. He spent most of the time sitting in the Pacific Northwest themed garden. At the time he'd been stationed in space without setting foot on Earth for over two years. He had needed to see trees and touch dirt. He loved working with people like Andrew and the Lieutenant, but in the end Space Force just had too much space. He needed to be on the ground.
Phillipe joined Janis at the passport control. She was reviewing an older man's passport and inquiring about his reasons for traveling to Sina. Phillipe signed into his terminal. He waved over a tall woman with a cybernetic arm. She presented her passport and he ran a check on her through the system. His terminal flickered for a moment. That was unusual.

I turned to the fire control console in the cockpit. It was non responsive. The systems had been disconnected I think. More debris hit the shuttle. The consoles in the cockpit began to spark. All of the alarms were going off. Then the ship was rocked again. It was more than before. A bigger piece of debris, I think.
I turned from the fire control console to a diagnostic console. That's when there was a sudden flash of light and everything went blurry and then my face was hot and then cold and everything went dark.
I woke up what I understand to be four hours later on the Sina Space Service emergency response shuttle Nightingale. I was attended on that ship by a Doctor Hanson. Doctor Hanson informed me that the Tanngrisnir's engines had fired and the yacht had struck the Hippolyta.
Doctor Hanson could not inform me at that time of the status of my crew. At the time I assumed I was in a dark room. Maybe because of the console exploding in my face and concern over the sensitivity of my eyes to bright lights. Doctor Hanson then explained to me that the console explosion had burned my eyes and shards had caused further damage. His team had performed emergency surgery on the Nightingale to remove them.
