Professor Charles Rodeck is a defining figure in modern fetal medicine, whose work transformed the care of thousands of unborn children. In 1990 he established the Research Department of Maternal and Fetal Medicine, laying the foundations for what is now UCL EGA Institute for Women's Health.

A study led by Prof Judith Stephenson and Prof Bola Grace found many men wanted to be more involved in the fertility process, but often felt their voices were not heard. "Men tell us it can happen across services - in how care is delivered, in fertility clinics and counselling," says Prof Grace.
