Older lady peeped the rainbow flag on my bike, asked in a thick Russian accent “It’s your Pride?” She told me her youngest grandchild is “not she berry or he berry but no berry.” I said “Nonbinary?” She got so excited. Yes! Yes! And “Is a secret, but they are my“ *looks around, whispers* “favorite.”

The most comforting possibility is that this is more of the endless, stupid "get on board or get left behind!" insistence from the tech industry and only a tiny handful of absolute psychopaths would have any interest in this. The other possibilities are worse.

Ruin/destabilise/interfere with our economy to the point where we will welcome their assistance/annexation/??? was always the plan. www.theglobeandmail.com/business/art...
Mr. Trump has also applied 15-per-cent tariffs on most cars made overseas. The tariffs have cost U.S.-based carmakers billions of dollars and spurred them to shift production and boost U.S. content.

"That's what Trump said he was going to do," Prof. Frise said. "He's going to damage our economy to the point where it isn't sustainable any more, and then he could take over. That's his goal. The thing about Mr. Trump is he usually tells you what he's going to do."

Ottawa is in the easternmost bit; as the crow flies, it's more than 1000km away (or 1450ish km driving) to Thunder Bay where most evacuees have fled, including those from communities hundreds of km from there. It's only about 2/3 of the way across the province. Anyway, it really big.
Map showing a route from Ottawa to Thunder Bay, a drive that takes at least 16 hours.

I also eat berries year-round, but always frozen over the bland-as-hell $$$$$ fresh ones that are available in January or whatever. And I am very excited about this year's Ontario Cherry Overdose later this summer.

In her later years, my grandmother never consumed enough calories, so to get any kind of anything into her, her doctor suggested Guinness. Which she mixed with ginger ale because she didn't like the taste. She took two of my favourite things and turned them into a weird, gross longevity potion.
