A western screech owl started hanging out in my parents carport so my dad made them a box! They moved in immediately and provide my parents with hours of entertainment when they’re around. I’m pretty jealous, not gonna lie.

This was my first thought too. No time with children? No time with spouse? No interests whatsoever other than trying to delay the inevitability of aging? It sounds like such a hollow life and I can't imagine it imparting a healthy mindset on her children either.

Still trying to be helpful to folks who ask about North FL wildlife and best times to see them.

Generally, the bobcats line up for photos around 9am at various locations. The alligators ask that you not take their photos from 9 to 5, when they're working, but other than that, it's fine, so long as you leave something in the tip jar. Turtles... I dunno... they will mess up your sh*t if you so much as look at them.

My aunt works in a USAID associated company in HR, she’s now traumatised after being assigned to dismiss employees around Africa then be dismissed herself. What hurt her most is that these people can’t support their families, they weren’t even given retrenchment benefits just told that it’s done.
