Many thanks to the beautiful Current Space for showing “Shane of the Many Sorrows”! It’s one of my favorite venues in the city and I have to walk by my old favorite, The Marble Bar to get to it. The weather was perfect and there was a lively turnout, especially for Labor Day weenie roast weekend.

“Panique” is a perfect film. Based on a Simenon book with the often seen theme used by Highsmith of people piling up on an innocent person who happens to be creepy or just solitary. Amazing cinematography. With carnival scenes that rival those of “Strangers on a Train”.
