The brazenness of these ai tech bros is just beyond anything I've seen before. Meetings with the UN, religious leaders, setting AI loose 'in the wild' all to inflate their pump and dump scam before the local AI models catch up and you can run a high quality private local llm on a potato anyway.

It's extremely important that trans people unionise. Regardless of the jobs we're in we need to do this. In an Irish context you have a constitutional right to be in a union. You don't have to tell your employer. Contact ictu who will tell you what union you should join and go ahead and do it.

A couple months back I could price a PC build on caseking that would out perform a steam machine using ddr5 ram and a 9060xt 16gb for about the same price. Now the same spec would cost 30% more and prices are set to rise further. It's absolutely shite trying to get into gaming folks.

I wish with all the attention that ADHD gets these days there was a bit more out there about inattentive types like myself. Yes there's cross over and similarities but it's a fundamentally different experience and it's just not talked about much. Makes you feel oddly lonely in a sense.

The absolute nightmare my wife had back in the day trying to sort out her visa. Bots were taking all the slots for meetings, people were buying apps, she'd be getting up at 6am to refresh the website. Eventually the university had to step in. It was a nightmare. Bunch of racists in that department

Annoying but I ended up putting a windows partition onto my PC so I can play cyberpunk properly. Linux is great but unfortunately Nvidia isn't and until I switch to AMD some day or Nvidia pulls the finger out I'm going to have to use Windows for the handful of games I own with path tracing etc.
