Yeah that's one of about 5 problems. From what I have read, the current DHS has done a great job of mucking up and adding friction to every part of the process and supply chain to make it near impossible for your average provider to have the shots.

Here in NYC, the parents I've talked to are all having a hell of a time finding them. Good luck if your kiddo is 3 or under. That one is a special circle of hell to chase. Major chains don't have it(if they did, ran out super quick), and our pediatrician group wants it and have no date of delivery.

Can someone with health/medicine reporting chops please look into how the pediatric COVID shots are an utter mess, still. I've read a few articles, all insisting there is no 'shortage', which I'm sure is an official definition by DHS, and we all know how well we can trust their numbers reporting.

Wow, @pypi.org crossed 2 EXABYTES bandwidth served in 2026. For comparison, **all traffic served in 2025** was only 1.95 Exabytes. Thanks to @fastly.com, over 99.999% of that is absorbed by their powerful global caching layer, chugging along to serve #OpenSource #Python users worldwide

In earnest, there's always time to change to actually be a supportive, open-contributing org! They could keep these projects super open, learn from them to do a better job of open sourcing their internal work that makes sense to, not single-vendor open source mess it up, etc. One can hope...

screenshot of text from Adam Serwer in The Atlantic: "The secret fear of the morally depraved is that virtue is actually common, and that they're the ones who are alone. In Minnesota, all of the ideological cornerstones of MAGA have been proved false at once. Minnesotans, not the armed thugs of ICE and the Border Patrol, are brave. Minnesotans have shown that their community is socially cohesive - because of its diversity and not in spite of it. Minnesotans have found and loved one another in a world atomized by social media, where empty men have tried to fill their lonely soul with lies about their own inherent superiority. Minnesotans have preserved everything worthwhile about "Western civilization," while armed brutes try to tear it down by force."

Was having the tiniest of pity parties being mega frustrated with my very cute 2yo who insisted on scootering in spite of the piles of snow still on the ground here in NYC(I have no clue where that stubbornness comes from 🙃). Ended up carrying his 40lb hiney and the scooter parts of the way.

Democrats will stop talking about needing to move towards the center, maybe when there is nothing left of the party. Y'all been tryin' that for the last 20 years. It's been a losing game(and sucks). Maybe try actually supporting what working folks need? Like, the massive majority of Americans?
