It’s really complex, and there’s some of that complexity happening behind the scenes at a very confusing, opaque, and glacial pace, but to the people involved it feels like either you get ignored or they go overboard with no in between. And it’s so damn inconsistent depending on judge & caseworker!

Yeah! I don’t want to get too into detail and spoil anything but it wasn’t a ‘hi tech tactical Rambo dude goes ape on zombies in a super cool way’ and I know exactly what gamers haaaaated that but I enjoyed it immensely, very refreshing tbh

It is so incredibly painful to have to have multiple conversations with your kids about whether or not it’s ‘time’ to talk to CPS about their friend’s home life when you know from experience there is a better than 50/50 chances the situation will only be made -worse-

I put a big 13x9 full of water on the bottom rack when I preheat the oven, it keeps the air moist while it cooks and reduces the cracks/heats a bit more evenly! Also catches butter drips lol. I refuse to deal with water baths, they’re always leaking and making my crust soggy!

It’s really just the 12-24hr stretch that’s bad, I was almost totally fine by Saturday morning besides a headache!

If it makes you feel any better the people who are super fans of the games didn’t like the movie and the nonfans who saw it rate it very highly 😂 it did feel like a somewhat pointed exercise in ‘watch a normie flail at the thing you think you’re good at while you yell at the screen in frustration’ 😂

I’m the youngest person in my 1/4 mile radius by at least 20 years I think 😂 I only have honorary child responsibilities to one set of them thankfully! My old hippie neighbor is too stubborn and self sufficient so I just bring him eggs and cookies to make sure he’s not dead occasionally
