THIS is a really great point about my feelings about overly meme-y and fourth-wall-break humour that I've always tried to put into words. It's not the quality of the jokes, persay, it's the fact that their tenor saps respect for the world and its chars and cheapens the overall product.

Today's perfume is another from my 'quiet elegance but interesting' collection (white collar work requires a lot of these). It's Alkemia's 'Kitten and Falling Leaves.' The effect is sort of 'taupe if it had sex on a fur rug.'
