My Rage Against the Machine/Les Mis mashup is complete. This is my interpretation of the quilt guild’s summer challenge “quilt with your interpretation and/or feelings towards our current ‘democracy’” all hand stitched.

Quilt hanging on a card catalog. Neutral background with navy cursive appliqué “Do you hear thr people sing?” The background is embroidered in red starting light and getting bolder the lyrics to “killing in the name” the quilting effect is a focused sunburst from the center.

If NFL owners want to censor who performs in stadiums, they shouldn't ask taxpayers to help build them. You can't take public subsidies for stadiums then use them as your personal editorial board. Pay for it all out of your own pocket and hold as many Kid Rock concerts as you want to.

And don't forget with the I-5 closure traffic in northeast may be different, we're at Steeplejack in NORTHEAST Portland not one of the other locations, and parking is easiest if you commit to a couple minute walk and look in the surrounding area and not directly on Broadway at Steeplejack.

I suspect having the intermediary (say an “npm, Inc.” for example at the repo level or a “RedHat” at a distro level) as a B-corp could change the equation too. Then their business is specifically about drumming up enough paying clients to cover the needed maintainers.

Just spitballing: Lets say this is is 200 “excess” reviews required. Four people read and evaluate each submission. They give 7.5 minutes to your review relative to the hour plus you surely invested in crafting it with quality. That’s 100 volunteer hours not spent somewhere else in OSS. Thanks.
