Not sure the national media have worked out how bad these wild fires have been. It didn't smell of smoke in Liverpool this morning but I've just got on a northern train and it stinks of smoke.

No product celebrates its own enshittification and shrinkflation so obviously as the Fox's Party Ring. They still advertise the neat lines of spikey icing I remember from childhood on the packet but when you get inside it's just one or two shapeless blob of colour (if you're lucky).

Watching nearly every political party in the UK chase the same 20% of the worst people in the country, ignoring the other 80%, just to please the papers. Nothing will change in the UK until the papers are taken in hand. Not all the media, just the papers. The rest will flow from there.
