Great to see the scaffolding start to come down at Haigh Hall this week. @greenwoodprojects.bsky.social have been working with @wigancouncil.bsky.social and a great team of architects, contractors & specialists to restore it into a cultural visitor destination. www.wigan.gov.uk/Council/Proj...

Today we marked #HolocaustMemorialDay with events at Wigan and Leigh Town Halls. On the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, we remembered the 6 million Jews murdered during the Holocaust, and the millions more murdered through the Nazi persecution of other groups. 🕯️ #HMD2025

Our Here for You campaign has helped put a massive £7m of previously unclaimed financial support back into the pockets of local people like Raymond and Margaret. 💛 We host events where our advisers can help you claim. You can find one local to you here 👉 wigan.gov.uk/HelpToClaim

Our teams have been working around the clock to respond to flooding and the cold conditions seen over the last few weeks. We’d like to say a huge thank you to That Secret Ingredient in Leigh, who treated some of them to lunch after a busy morning of helping residents. 💫🦺🥰 #MakingADifference
