Yall are talking a lot about the Cubs’ lousy pitching but not much about the fact that their offense (save PCA and Bregman) also sucks. They’ve been a superstar in search of an actual roster for months—and, yeah, even PCA has worn down and cracked in places.

Heartbroken to hear about my old friend Dennis Haskins. He played the principal, but Dennis was the biggest kid on the SBTB set.
If you knew him, you loved him—and if there was karaoke, you knew Dennis was getting on that mic! I'm grateful for the laughs, the memories, and the friendship we shared all these years. Rest easy, my friend. You'll always be part of our Bayside family.

Eric Schmitt is on The Charlie Kirk Show (yes it's still called that) -- and believe it or not, hosts are pretending he owned Smith with his embarrassingly botched gotcha "You caught him in this NBA game too in Atlanta" "Yeah," Schmitt says There's no mention that Schmitt had all his facts wrong

Can’t stop wars. Cant stop the president committing nonstop crime. Can’t do anything about Epstein. Or cost of living. Or the environment. They can fuck over workers though. They’ll do that real fast.

Hawkeye Ricky Davis www.instagram.com/p/DdoC7i5iOUw/?st…

Notes on Iowa on Instagram: "Iowa Time Machine ⏰: On September 23, 1979, legendary Iowa basketball player Ricky Davis was born. Davis starred at Davenport North and the University of Iowa before embarking on a memorable twelve-year NBA career. From an early age, Davis shone on the hardwood. Iowa Hawkeye Head Coach Tom Davis received a letter from U.S. Representative James Leach about the young hooper’s abilities when Ricky Davis was only a 7th-grader. By the start of his sophomore season, Davis proved ready to commit to the Hawkeyes. At Davenport North, Ricky racked up career totals that included 1,619 points and 801 rebounds, while earning 1st-team All-State honors twice. Starring for the Hawkeyes during the second-to-last season of the Tom Davis era, Ricky Davis averaged 15 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists as a freshman. Despite not talking to NBA teams before declaring for the draft, on April 2, 1998, Davis announced his intention to enter the draft and told reporters, “It will be my first job, and I’ll be making a million dollars.” Drafted 21st overall in the 1st Round of the NBA Draft by the Charlotte Hornets, Davis quickly became a fan favorite due to mesmerizing dunks and high-energy play. Over his twelve-season career, Davis played for the Charlotte Hornets, Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Los Angeles Clippers. Davis once drew national attention for stat padding in a home game against the Utah Jazz on March 16, 2003. With Cleveland leading 120–95 and less than 7 seconds remaining, Davis needed one rebound for his first career triple-double. He deliberately tossed an inbound pass off his own rim and caught it to receive credit for a rebound, but shots taken at one's own basket don't count as official field goal attempts. #Iowa #OTD #History #Basketball #NBA"

This makes me hopeful. This number is aspirational but nowhere near out of reach: a working professional could realistically cash out their 401k and buy off a public official. Owning a senator is more attainable for most Americans than home ownership.

Packers HC Matt LaFleur on Lukas Van Ness: "We've seen enough from Lukas over the course of his time here. The big thing with him is the availability. When he's out there, he's been impactful. ... He's playing like an animal right now, and we need him to continue to do that."

HUGE play to set you up in scoring position and you call two runs. Did Steichen phone a friend and let LaFleur call those plays?
