Amazing photo but the headline here is, imo, needlessly indirect, and it surprises me that Senator Schmitt, the person responsible for the embarrassing ”Hawks-Hawkeyes mix-up,” isn’t mentioned by name in the headline.

I'm hoping the Cubs can make it respectable and win tonight. I'm hopeful but not, however, optimistic. The Friars have been hot and the Cubs lukewarm.

Eric Schmitt is what happens when a state becomes so red that you don’t need to be a talented politician to become a US Senator. And to be fair, there are examples of this in blue states too. Iron sharpens iron.

One reason to learn about things outside your major is so that you have something to talk about with people at parties and on dates. No amount of money will make up for you being a crushing bore. History majors learn this early but I guess it takes other people longer.

to place the sexual and reproductive exploitation of black women at the center of your understanding of american slavery is to see that the system was forced birth and this, in turn, should lead to a more expansive vision of what the 13th amendment actually guarantees.
