Engine Co 71 fire station was looking gorgeous yesterday. Built in 1927/28, second pic is from 1948 found on Facebook. Last pic is a rad as hell patch you can still buy, not sure when the design is from but 😮‍💨

Spotted a moth cutie tucked under the awning of 2238 s. Wentworth. Looks like the first floor was constructed in 1912 but Michaelson & Rognstad did a revamp in 1928/32 and added the polychrome. It was the home of the Ling Long Chinese museum from 1933 until 1983

The Cortland Street Bridge is legit my favorite place in all of Chicago. I used to live down the street from it and walking across the bridge to sit on a curb and watch them pour steel at Finkl forging was just about my favorite way to pass an evening.
