This is Laia, my dog who we unfortunately lost to cancer in May. Before her my dogs all had long, floppy ears so I never realized how much they express their emotion by the position of their ears. For her, the straight back position was when she was happy or excited.
A medium sized black dog with a white muzzle, wearing a pink harness and sitting on a large, flat rock by a body of water. One ear sticks out to the side and the other one droops down a bit.

I’m not even sure it’s masks in general, just using them to protect yourself from an infectious agent. Saw a video once where someone was ready to make fun of someone for wearing a mask until he realized the guy was drilling into concrete and wearing it to protect himself from inhaling the dust.

Denmark's coal-to-wind transition is one of the most dramatic energy transformations of the past three decades. In 1990, coal provided 90% of Danish electricity. Today it is under 3%. Wind now covers roughly 60% of electricity generation. The last coal plant is scheduled to close by 2028.

My 2 kids both got their driver’s licenses in the last couple of years. And I feel like turning right on red is one of the hardest things to learn. So much going on at intersections including drivers behind you honking if you don’t go when there’s the slightest opening or you wait for pedestrians.

It makes sense to me that the combination arm would have higher titres, but I’m surprised they also had fewer side effects if they mRNA vaccine dose is the same whether administered alone or in combination. Also, are there any current vaccines that have mAb coadministered?

I had an early morning trip to the comfort station while camping and couldn’t resist taking this picture of Orion. Any idea what the bright star in the lower left corner is? It was taken September 5.
The constellation Orion and other stars in a sky that is just a bit lighter than full dark. There is also one very bright star in the lower left corner, a few wispy clouds and the shadow of a tree in the bottom right corner.

Wildfires are getting more and more devastating because of global warming, which is primarily caused by the burning of fossil fuels. Trump won’t say that because he’s in the industry’s pocket. If he wants compensation for the wildfire smoke, he should go after the oil and gas giants responsible.
