Had a really lovely week in Lyon, France 🇫🇷 at the European Working Memory Symposium where I got to share my findings about children’s gaze patterns when they are remembering visuospatial or verbal information (poster below). And when they need to recall spatial info in forwards or backwards order.
A pink poster describing research findings about how children prioritise looking back to the first previously stimulus when remembering spatial information but do not prioritise looking back to any specific stimulus when remembering verbal information. Thus demonstrating children’s eye gaze patterns can indicate when they are using visuospatial or verbal strategies to remember information.
