Q: Can you name a time when you voted against Trump and it changed the outcome? SUSAN COLLINS: At one point, I had organized people to vote against Sec. Hegseth. At the very last minute one of our Republicans changed his mind. Otherwise he would've been defeated. Q: So it didn't change the outcome

Look at the shabby state and increasingly authoritarian trajectory of the country and ask yourself if we can endure 2 more years of a lawless Trump administration wreaking havoc with no check from Congress, then vote accordingly. This is not the time for a protest vote or purity politics.

Some say early 2030s. Others say 2028. But the math says it already happened in February, 2026. The Climate 8-Ball says there will not be a year in the next 100 years with a temperature anomaly less than 1.5°C above the 1850-1900 pre-industrial baseline.

They have problems, but "zomg the kids" isn't one. Parents need to do parenting, and if they're unwilling, they shouldn't have kids. No one claims its easy, but nothing is forcing anyone to have kids.

There's an enormous difference between "toddler toy kills toddlers" and "irresponsible parents let kids use a service against TOS and irresponsibly don't supervise before, during, or after, resulting in harm". You know a better way to stop? Whitelisted domains (or just don't let the kid online)

That's both contextual and a strawman to your original claim. We have three dogs and four cats. No vacuum is a dusty furball house. Manual vacuum is a lot of daily chores for a mostly fur free house. Roomba is "manual pass every two weeks". You called out probably the single biggest helper!!!

Hard disagree, but hey, some people read Walden (and don't know his mom was doing his chores) and step away thinking Thoreau _wasn't_ batshit insane. Different strokes and all that.

From the start of this month…when Massie correctly predicted that Mike Johnson would send them all home early (and Johnson said he was stupid). He was right. And now Johnson’s shaved another day off and packed up even earlier.
Massie tweet: I predicted they'd call off Congress until the election to stop our new Epstein bill.

Johnson said on TV that was "stupid" and “nonsensical."

But then he got a call from "upstairs" and canceled Congress from the middle of September until the election.

(Massie also used that early September opportunity to remind everyone of Trump’s Juneteenth 2025 post complaining about “too many non-working holidays” and how that “must change”. FFS 🤦‍♀️)
Massie tweet with image of the House calendar and Trump Juneteenth post:

The U.S. House will be in session only 4 full days from July 24th to November 8th.

That's 100 paid days off versus 4 full workings days plus 4 travel (half) days.

Meanwhile TRUMP says YOU have too many holidays.

By any definition I'm a heavy player, but part of what kept me launching was to be sure I'd hit every balloon. I'd do it even if I was otherwise busy, reconnect my go++, see if I should set an alarm for a raid... I've _already_ noticed one balloon a day cutting back on that behavior.

I’m not sure I agree that case is precedent here. What happened in Dallas wasn’t just "a candidate's offer of ideas to the voter[s]"—which is what would have happened had TRUMP been on the ballot and he promised a new $5,000 policy if HE won—but telling voters they’ll be paid for voting for OTHERS.

This is an absolutely catastrophic data breach of an identity verification vendor 150+ million drivers license scans that includes photos, address, license numbers etc. It includes Pete Hegseth, security researchers, and even the deputy director of the FBI. krebsonsecurity.com/2026/09/fbi-...
A screenshot of a search result on a website titled "NEXUS | Identity Document Database" showing a locked Minnesota driver's license record for "PETER HEG******." A driver's license portrait of Peter Hegseth appears on the left, next to mostly redacted information fields, including ID number, birth date (1980), and address, followed by a prompt to purchase the full record for $100.00.

Underappreciated: US farmland *already substantially produces energy, not food*, and does so very inefficiently. Corn ethanol (~40% of all US corn) requires about 100 times more land per vehicle-mile driven than solar photovoltaics -> electric vehicles. Shifting corn to solar *would free up land*.
