So the miserable fucks at Google finally fully broke the ability to Disable Absolute Volume after my pixel update today. Now my headphones sound like shit, all in an attempt to protect my ears. The lowest setting is crackly and *hurts my ears*. This nanny bullshit is infuriating.

Turkeys everywhere! Wildlife have discovered this dog-free zone and will often just hang out. (This has led to some bunnies not taking proper precautions and getting *hawked* to death, but that's the circle of life). I've never seen so many up on the fence at once.

Here's a rough sketch

The Knights Cerulean defend their brutalist ascension trap by swinging halberds through the slits between stairs. The pitch gives them the high ground and the straight lines give them a line of effect to oncoming soldiers. By using metal-hafted halberds, they can force the enemy to disarm or kill defenders before being able to clear the obstacle - the halberds, if bent or damaged, cause the hallway to "fail closed". The foolish Rouge Rogues have invaded with only short swords and probably will be killed.

This is shocking, but also terrible #dataviz. Colours show change, not absolute rates. So a county that had 100% vaccination pre-Covid can now only be red or white. We are surely more interested in places with low rates overall, whether that's a recent drop or historical lack of take-up.

The jerks at Google bumped "Read aloud" -- a feature I use often -- down to the second item after highlighting text in browser. What did they put first? Ask Gemini. Ffs guys. It was so easy to select all-->read aloud, but now that requires my attention. I don't even have Gemini enabled!

Highlighted text menu in my android-based browser. Ask Gemini was added, and it's the first option instead of "read aloud". Read aloud is useful. Ask Gemini is not.
