Coming from @bevy.org engine ecosystem, I implemented that feature that's now part of *YOUR* rustdoc since `1.99`! Use `#[doc(notable_trait)]` and profit 👍 🌈 There's some polishing left to do for the feature, send some love to notriddle at github.com/rust-lang/ru...

Bevy's already 6 years old! thierryberger.com/blog/bevy-6t... @bevy.org is a data-driven Rust game* engine you want to follow, as its improvements tend to make the wider ecosystem better, even up to #Rustlang itself. *Not limited to games!

cheadergen, a new tool for generating C headers from #rust crates, is now ready to try! I've been working on it for a while, and it has seen enough real-world use that I'm comfortable recommending it to others. Documentation, examples, and source at cheadergen.com

I feel a bit torn when in-person discussions are referred to in issues though, without a « proper » report it feels like insider knowledge.. hopefully not much context is lost in there :)

You purist! I get that argument… in practice as a maintainer it’s a ton of work to maintain examples in doc, maybe because my tooling isn’t cooperating though (writing docs isn’t as smooth as writing code cus of comments prefix, setup…) And as a user I appreciate when rustdoc points me to a usage

I know! An owned mut in function signature parameter is not relevant for users in API, so I think this should be changed. (&mut is great, but mut i32 is not useful).

I was just curious and thought it was a fun thought experiment. I mean if official maintainers were to come to such a stand the price may be close to this. Money/time has been spent by bevy volunteers participating in this anyway, it could also be seen as a « donation » to bevy organization.
