What is the timeline of this kind of proposals? The UK retired the WE.177 in the 90s. It would probably have to redesign a warhead, or rework existing designs, without the possibility of testing and, presumably, with strained US support (French support maybe?).

Ce numéro de la revue Cultures & Conflits se propose d’interroger une certaine grammaire à l’œuvre : que produit, politiquement et socialement parlant, l’obsession de stabiliser et de promouvoir la « résilience » ? Quelles médiations s’épuisent quand des architectures techniques – que l’on parle de sécurité ou d’indicateurs – se substituent à la délibération démocratique ? Et comment des politiques de précaution deviennent des doctrines de gouvernement qui normalisent l’exception, externalisent les coûts et, in fine, resserrent les marges de contestation ? Souvent, pour éviter ces contestations, les politiques de précaution comme doctrines de gouvernement invoquent
des catastrophes à venir et jouent sur les politiques de prévention et des instruments de prédiction incapables de tenir leurs promesses, malgré la course en avant technologique. Il en résulte une
gouvernementalité du malaise ou de l’inquiétude qui favorise les tentations autocratiques. En cartographiant ces déplacements dans plusieurs univers – la sécurité, la diplomatie, l’expertise, la
