Like you, every walk I take now features litter (especially fast food containers, cans and bottles). I've had to retrieve plastic sheeting blown from the neighbouring building site several times (even though it meant trespassing). And fly-tipping has become a real problem, too. It breaks my heart.

I watched it eddy downwards, narrowly missing the boughs of the great oak, mentally marked the spot where it landed, and set out to retrieve it, wretched trailing polypropylene ribbon included. I'm worried about how many others might have been released at the same time, and where they might be now.
