Students made their first minicomics in my intro making course - mostly standard format but this student, a first time maker(!), did something so off the charts I’m still reeling from it! & he made like 12 of them for his classmates! The seat itself consists of a dark green stone seat, as well as what looks like emerald crystals behind it, chunks of the crystals floating above them. From behind we see some sort of magical glow, suggesting the crystals might be magiacal.

The woman herself is mostly dressed in black. She has pale skin and long elven ears, her long and wild hair framing her face. She has emerald green eyes, as well as black eye shadow and black lips curled into a small smile.

She wears what looks like paludrons that sit on her shoulders. They have a number of pointed accents as well as white detailing that consists of little snow drops as well as a flower motif. These sit on a breast plate that carries the same motifs and colours. $The costs of NHS spending on ADHD and autism assessments are “spiralling out of control”, the NHS’s independent membership body has warned, with unregulated private assessment costs seeing millions being spent, even as the parliamentary health ombudsman reports a fractured service with high levels of patient complaint. The NHS arguably cannot cope – that is a complete sentence in itself. But its issues with ADHD are due to colossal underfunding and a lack of trained specialists, leading to wild spending on short-term solutions. (Perimenopause and prostate cancer are seeing similar demand due to rising awareness, but it perhaps feels less socially advisable to risk the wrath of either 52 per cent of the population or Jeremy Clarkson.) ADHD in the UK is not new. What it is, however, is wildly behind in getting to grips with the scale of the problem: the UK’s first ADHD adult clinic was established in 1994. Our national guidelines on ADHD in adults were only published in 2008. To put this into context, the US has treated ADHD with methylphenidate (branded as Ritalin) since 1955. It is imperative that ADHD be assessed and treated – not so that some mythically undeserving “other” gets a “label” (although good luck navigating a supermarket without those) – but because the consequences of untreated ADHD are catastrophic. Successive governments have trumpeted the importance of preventative medicine as a silver bullet to take the weight off the NHS: well, here it is. The American psychologist Stephen Faraone’s 2021 consensus statement on ADHD – a formidable piece of work combining significant papers to form objective truths – concluded that ADHD costs society hundreds of billions of dollars worldwide. Medication (which, on the NHS, currently requires a further years-long wait after assessment) reduces everything from accidental injuries to substance abuse, educational underachievement, STIs, suicide, criminal activity and teenage pregnancy.
