Much as I've always loved this scene from the comic, I've been continually plagued by the notion that I could've done it better. So here it is, done better. OG for comparison so you can see how much of a glow-up it is. That's what stars do best after all! They shine 🌟

Sally Starlet of Welcome Home, standing in (metaphorical) darkness, looking at Yol (my AU's version of Eddie Dear) with a concerned expression. She's activating telepathic abilities, which the alien (isolated from his hivemind and deeply lonely) notices, turning to face her. It's the first time he's truly connected to someone like that in...a while.

Same scene as it originally appeared in my comic. Looks good, but I didn't really understand how to draw Sally at the time. I can do it much better now.

Someone on Tumblr was suggesting that you replace "police" with "man with a gun" in any sentence about it and see if you still wanna call. For example "These teens at the park are being rowdy and making a mess. Should I call a man with a gun to remove them?"
