Welp, even back in March Anthopoulos maintained that the pitching was not the problem, the offense just needed to hit again. Fast forward to October and the season's likely going to end because they had another near team-wide hitting slump at the most important moment.

This photo remains framed in my workspace. Dad greeted him by immediately asking him to look disgusted with us. Al leaned into the bit without hesitation.

Al was my first concert. I’ve seen him every chance I could, and each time Dad (and now I, too) says, “Could be the last time, let’s make sure we see him.” I’ve lost count but I think I’m around 17 times. He’s a phenomenal show every time, and every time he plays a song I haven’t heard live before.
