This photo remains framed in my workspace. Dad greeted him by immediately asking him to look disgusted with us. Al leaned into the bit without hesitation.

A visibly perturbed Weird Al Yankovic standing with me (with shorter hair, a Weird Al shirt, and still fooling myself into believing I was a straight guy) and my dad (in his awesome George Harrison shirt).

This beautiful weirdo has so many fun interactions - it makes my Yarok deck go off in a more traditional way, but it’s super fun in Aragorn, Company Leader, gets huge life gains in Yuna, and becomes a bounce nightmare in Peter Parker.

Day 1 En Sabah Nur deck, first draft! Tweaked up the Ultron deck to experiment w/ how consistently I can “bad thing -> good thing.” Merlin + Sersi included as alternate change-cons. Will obvs need to be changed for more meta-relevant pieces but a good starting point to have fun with. #MarvelSNAP

Okay, we got some Giants as top end, but it’s our first foray into Golgari Elves (splash red)! Lost a competitive 0-2 in the first round as I sort of stumbled through how the archetype works, but I feel really confident in it going forward. The graveyard loop is absolute silly fun! #MTGLorwyn

Another grindy game, this time losing 2-1. 1-1 on the day so far, but I feel *way* better now than while building it. Champion of the Path is wild, and splashing for Eirdu gives the top end I needed. Mix with a doubler and we’re good - but I get in trouble if my opponent gets too wide. #MTGLorwyn

Just read and enjoyed it! A note on Spectacular Spider-Man: You nailed it w/ Watcher in the Water + Sleep-Cursed Faerie. I’ve built it focusing card-draw, and with things like Shabraz, Teferi’s Ageless Insight, and my personal favorite Ambling Stormshell, you can do some really fun and wacky things.
