"Christmas For Sale" progress.... (Yes, it's a Christmas song in the style of Beatles For Sale 🤷)

Happy birthday wonderful Beatles For Sale, the most maligned of all Beatles albums... Certainly seems to be getting quite an unfair bashing of late but love it. Great sounding LP.

Couldn't afford a ticket when they went on sale. Holding out for a Christmas miracle. 🙏😭🤣

Seems hard for folk to accept, but pretty much without exception when you hear falsetto on an early (62 to 65) Beatle song it's JOHN. Paul always sings high full voice. John is falsetto guy. If you want to get in to it see me after class.

This George Harrison night at Bhaktivedanta Manor on Friday looks like it will be quite special. In town for the Neil Innes Celebration tonight (and Beatles 64 last night). Will head to GH thing on Friday then A Hard Day's Night stuff at Turk's Head pub Twickenham on Sunday. Unexpected Beatle Week!

Ignore the “too many talking heads” reviews for “Beatles 64”. Everyone interviewed was THERE and has a view of it from the time. Apart from Terence Trent D’Arby who was born in 1962. I laughed heartily when he appeared on screen and was told to “Shut up fat boy” I presume that was his PA.

Wow this is like The Beatles getting back together. Love Tom Baker being odd, ignoring the other Doctors while scribbling a note he later gives to Mary Tamm. Wonder what it said? 🧐 youtu.be/pOJUJYj2TQM?...

TK MAXX had this big ol' shag pile rug in Oscar The Grouch green w. brown stripes on clearance, I hummed & hawed about taking it. Fun (!) carrying/dragging it over to the station but made a comfy seat upon choo choo machine. It's a big cosy chocolate lime monster..quite awful but lovely too.

it's the utmost tragedy that this is all we have of "Harry & Ringo's Night Out," a 1974 promo for a film with Ringo and Harry "being sucked into an alternate reality in a place called Rockland, populated by a bunch of famous rock stars. Music is dying and these two were on a mission to save it."

Playing The Fool On The Hill on the Abbey Road Studio 2 Challen piano. I've got a similar one in my little studio but it's a bit knackered at the moment, a bunch of the hammer felts popped last summer. Working on it!

The Beatles' Abbey Road SDE has this page of George Martin's score for climax of the guitar solos in "The End." This score was recorded but mixed out of the album version and since it's otherwise unavailable, I recreated it with orchestral sample libraries so we can hear how it sounds
