It's kinda funny to me that Remedy Entertainment, a company that hasn't done any hack-n-slash games, was able to make a premium hack-n-slash experience in Control Resonant that feels different from its contemporaries. That really takes some expertise and talent.

Bear Star Wars: Zero Company. Really good Star Wars game. Pretty simple XCOM-style strategy game for people curious about the genre, good writing, fun characters. It can be pretty easy minmaxing your units with little challenge.l, but lots of fun to be had for a Star Wars fan. Score: 4/5

Beat Control Resonant. This was so good. So, so good. I love how much the combat flows freely and how much you can add your own spin to it, some really great set pieces and moments, very good writing and fantastic performances, culminating into a fantastic ending. I love this game. Score: 5/5

Going in as a Dragoon. It was my first class and it's been a while since I've been back on it. I also hope to complete a Savage raid tier with Dragoon as well. After that, next tier will be Dark Knight since I like that class a lot. And the tier after, I might do something...crazy, even for me.

Anyway, I can't wait to get off work and play some Control Resonant. Game looks like a lot of fun, and I loved the first Control game and its DLC. Hope they nail the action stuff as well as they did before.

Wanted to say a little more about Wolverine: despite me putting it on the hardest difficulty and turning down as much of the handholding as I could find, the game really does go out of its way to make sure you win moments and get things you need, making it feel less challenging (and disappointing).

Finished Wolverine. It's fine. Definitely one of Insomniac's weaker titles, though. While there's good character moments, the story just kinda dragged at times, and the combat loop remained stagnant. Played it on the hardest difficulty and it barely felt like a challenge at times. Score: 3/5

Onimusha: Way Of The Sword is beaten. But I'm not done with it. I know there's another difficulty beyond the normal one, and I still want more. With an approachable skill floor and a demanding skill ceiling wrapped up in a poignant story, this is yet another win in Capcom's streak. Score: 5/5

With all the blue trails talk in Wolverine, I think it’s worth showing an example. It’s used to represent smell in select instances like this. However, it’s not a GPS trail - you’ll note it lingers in a specific area but doesn’t actually direct you. Also, waypoint markers are optional and off here.

007 First Light is done. Easily one of the best Bond games I've played, it highlights the core of what makes him a spectacular spy with a good mix of stealth and gunplay. The story is pretty solid, and it has enough room to let you be creative on its railway tracks. Score: 4/5
