Hey gang I really hate to ask this, if no one wants or needs a commission thats fine but if you are fiscally able can you maybe spare some cash to help me and Kayce make rent? I would rather work for it but Rent's due Friday and I'm getting scared. ko-fi.com/zitoisneato/...

lol I was going to do more finished art this week but I got both busy and sick I've still been drawing a ton every day, I just would rather post the finished drawings than my initial sketches. With this art I'm only satisfied once I've put enough of the emotion into it.

Not in a "giving up" kind of way, but admitting to myself "I'm having executive dysfunction and I can't do this right now." makes the adhd side of my issues way easier to cope with. I don't waste my energy reserves trying to push through anyway and I can ask for help.

I've got a lot more darker emotional art I still have to post, but I wanted to put it out there that right now I'm feeling "it's going to be okay"

Quick Shadow sketch from a couple nights ago. :>

a sketch of Shadow the Hedgehog but without the arms or legs drawn. He's staring at the viewer.

Even with everything being how it is right now I do still wanna get back into personal game dev before the year is up.

Now that I've let it draw enough, it's letting me draw a bit more. We're starting to synchronize too. It still wants to finish and post the art though. What a fucking surreal experience this has been. Who needs drugs when you can just have a trauma-induced disassociative episode?

Friendly Fire

A one eyed character looking backwards with a vaguely shocked expression. Spikes are bubbling out of it's back and it has stabbed through a hand behind it.

Got a nicer drawing for tomorrow. It wants to be posted sooner for some reason.

Last week my nervous system was so shot I genuinely tried to press ctrl+z when I was drawing on paper. I also kept dropping stuff and I never do that.

I can't even joke about it, I just don't care for video game discourse anymore. Everyone is quick to have some kind of extreme emotional reaction or contrarian to said reaction and have been for many many years.

I'm going to keep making and posting emotionally honest art. It's long overdue and if I don't do it, I'll die.

I really liked Jim Henson's dark fantasy movies like The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth. Just thinking about them today.

I remember being fascinated by Endermen as a teenager. The way they'd pop in, take some dirt or a flower, and just kinda vibe or go somewhere else. I used to wonder if they were building something. As long as you didn't stare directly, they were chill and I found them comforting to be around.

The Forbidden Feeling

A one-eyed humanoid creature covers a door that has been shackled up, boarded, and with Do Not Open tape over it. The walls and door itself is cracked. The word "ANGER" is written crossed out above the door.

Starting to feel a bit better. Not great but better. Still gonna post some of that art I've been drawing the past few days though.

Emotions are holding me hostage, forcing me to draw more. I'm in pain and nothing else feels like it matters. I'm struggling to do anything else and I have to placate it to sleep or eat. Words aren't enough on their own, they don't come out right.

Last repost. This was scary for me to make knowing I was going to be posting it publicly. It came from a very different place than usual and I don't fully understand it.

I think I might go ahead and cancel that srb2 model pack. There are too many painful life events I associate with it now and I don't know if I want to hold onto it anymore.

I'm not big into putting text in my art, it feels kinda kitsch, but that one wanted hand drawn text so that's what it got.

I'm working on some art atm. It's very different than my normal art. I'm still going to post it.

I reached a breaking point and I've gone from unable to draw to unable to stop. I don't know how much if any of this I'll post, I'm torn right down the middle.

Me a few years ago: "I wonder why I struggle to draw now? Must be the adhd." After all the unpacking I've been doing this past year and a half: "What the actual fuck"

Thinking about 80s cgi and prerendered graphics from the 90s/early Y2K, and by the time we could start doing that in real time, aesthetic tastes had changed, so we never really got to see that in non-static games.
