And remember: AC is at minimum 3 times more efficient than heating the same space (and often requires cooling a space by fewer degrees than heating does, making it even more efficient.) If you wouldn’t hesitate to turn on a space heater in December, the AC in June is fine.

I've even been looking at moving states and it's just so so hard ... The energy, the time, the expense, the risk exposusure.. all higher esp for a disabled person. But in FL it's so horrible here... But it just would be harder maybe to leave. And there's no guarantee anywhere else is much better.

“Just leave the country” is not an option for most disabled people. Many countries won’t accept high cost health users. Many have income and savings requirements before they will even consider you. Leaving is in many ways, a privilege. Fight for those who have to stay behind.
