Again how many African kids dying of AIDS is the demolition of USAID worth?

So how many millions of African kids dying of AIDS do you think is worth it?

So you like Black children dying of AIDS?

No, there weren't 100 other things that needed to happen, Bush was an alarmingly good campaigner and people keep forgetting that because he was also a first rate idiot and the idea that idiocy and good campaigner co-exist breaks brain cells.

Yeah, man, nothing changed between the 1970s and 1990s in the South. That's why Strom Thurmond was still a Democrat at 102, right?

Leftists cost Gore the 2000 election by costing him New Hampshire. That's how math works. Feel free to screech that math is a Jewish conspiracy theory against revolutionary praxis or w/e.

TheLightdancer @thelightdancer.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
Leftists could have voted to not elect a Bush.
131
TheLightdancer @thelightdancer.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
Not really, Bush was and is a far more formidable candidate than usually given credit for. Even then if Gore had won New Hampshire that would have secured him the election without Florida and he very explicitly lost it because Nader.

TheLightdancer @thelightdancer.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
Nah, the Greens literally cost Gore one state that would have won him the election and rendered Florida irrelevant and immaterial. The Left made the rise of fascism easy, that's what you people *always* do.

TheLightdancer @thelightdancer.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
Yeah, man, a liberal Democratic guy losing Tennessee is proof he's unlikeable and not that the South was sliding into what it is now with the GOP replacing the Dixiecrats. Can't be that Republicans are responsible for how they vote.

Nader literally cost him a state that would have won him the election. Clearly the widdle spoiled brat wanted to be a spoiler and do a Perot Effect from the Left and when he did he and all of you are too much the overgrown toddlers to own it. Tough shit.
011
TheLightdancer @thelightdancer.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
And yet, at the end of the day, Nader costing Gore New Hampshire cost him the electoral college, as he only needed to win that to win the electoral college and Presidency and if he had, Florida is irrelevant. We can thank the Left for the last 26 years.
131
TheLightdancer @thelightdancer.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
I mean at the end of the day there's a real argument George Bush was a nastily effective campaigner and the only one his sordid little family produced, sure. But that's more Bush being more dangerous than people think and less Gore sucking. Republicans do exist, buddy.
131
TheLightdancer @thelightdancer.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
In the real world Gore did fight it for a month, then the SCOTUS did judicial Calvinball for the first term on a partisan basis. I realize y'all don't want to own that Nader made Bush and all his consequences a thing. I wouldn't want to either, but reality is what it is even when you hate it.
021
TheLightdancer @thelightdancer.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
Gore being the climate man was a thing known during the Clinton Presidency, at some point you overgrown infants have to own your lack of attention span and need for attention.
010
TheLightdancer @thelightdancer.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
Yeah but Gore was so close to that margin that merely winning New Hampshire alone gives him the Presidency and Nader *did* cost him that state, and thus, well.....if Gore won that state Florida would still be ratfucked by voter suppression but none of that would have changed the outcome.
121
TheLightdancer @thelightdancer.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
The aggrieved party literally did put up a fight for an entire month, it was a huge fucking deal. They didn't start a civil war but if they had you people would have fought for George Bush and you know it.
221
TheLightdancer @thelightdancer.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
Because he literally cost Gore two states that could have avoided the entire Florida mess. Hell, costing him the *one* state ensured Florida mattered. I realize it sucks to own the bloodshed of the last 25 years because purity testing, but it sucks to suck.

I mean even if Gore had only won New Hampshire he was right next to the electoral college victory margin without it, winning it takes him over it. So.....either way Nader still is the guy who has all that blood on his hands, and his voters, too.

They were better at it than the Vichy French troops they were fighting, which is all they had to be. They were also plenty good enough for Imperial Japan in 1942. The reason they never Gallipolied themselves was the Marines in the Banana Wars, in one way.

The US's most morally impressive victories in the 20th century were without a shadow of a doubt Imperial Japan, Imperial Germany, and the Third Reich (with the USSR at least somewhat being an assisted suicide). For that matter, Ba'athist Iraq is also missing from the list.

I don't think 'independent state' describes either North or South Vietnam very accurately.

People will appeal to say, the Vietnam War as proof of success. If they were willing to die to the tens of thousands every year for 25 years and see everything they had bombed to rubble they too could 'succeed.' But uh, good luck with that.

What ultimately can't be argued is that a mere two years of terrorism, including that King David Hotel Bombing, outweighed a bunch of other events of which the dueling violence of Jewish and Arab terrorism was only a part. A large part, but not the sole or deciding one.

TheLightdancer @thelightdancer.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
Depending on how you look at it you can argue this is correct and that Israel's existence was secured by the Great Arab Revolt of 1936-9 gutting their military power right before WWII ultimately supercharged the Yishuv.

The Left and Right both exist because people reject a complex nuanced multi-faceted world for a dream where everything is smooth and logical and reacting violently to the prospect of anything else but that. The Congo Wars take this to its most direct extreme.

Unfortunately true, they may know at best some of the spillover from the Rwandan Genocide but the rest of it? No. And even then the two or three factions not counting Cony's Lord's Resistance Army make things still more convoluted.

The DSA literally celebrated Musk demolishing USAID, so no. They are explicitly on record, accordingly, of being a genocidal organization that thinks AIDS is a good way to cull the surplus African population. If they don't want to be seen that way, they can just not talk like that.

TheLightdancer @thelightdancer.bsky.social · 30/09/2026
No, it's explicitly the truth. If caring about Black people was your priority as it damned well should be, given what's done to their rights gets done to everyone else's too, you would. We're not into your screaming and foaming at the mouth here because you do.

Hey look! Let’s shit on democrats for *checks notes* doing the right thing.
The party-line vote was 53 to 47. While the bill adds more constraints on
lawmaker stock trading than what exists under the current law, all Democrats opposed it, saying it did not go far enough to outright end the practice. Democrats also disapproved of the Republican decision to attach changes to voter ID requirements to the legislation.
