Republicans in Congress got hours of free airtime in front of the American people. They spent it stating false facts as true and calling Jack Smith a dirtbag and a villain. Here's all you need to know, under oath.

There's of course the "meta" that so many games have taught me that doing worship-things results in "mostly nothing" that I tend to assume such things aren't worth doing unless e.g. "part of the main quest". Of course a game *about* this could overcome that...

“Bongo” Ballpoint pen, pencil, watercolor, acrylic paint, and a little colored pencil.

Our man is in trouble this time, reader. Art supplies are scattered around a painting of an abstract cityscape. On the canvas we see a man in a telephone booth making a frantic call to his cat, Bongo. In the foreground, an answering machine is taking his voicemail, [Leave a message at the beep] --- “Bongo, Daddy got stuck in the painting. Go get help, Bongo.” Bongo stands at the base of the easel looking at the phone. Her tail in the air and ears perked up. Whether she’ll be able to help is open to interpretation.

Artist’s note: One of my favorites from the Spooky Pants book. I was playing around with the idea of a painting coming to life (like that guy in Ghostbusters 2) and kind of fumbled my way into this version. I really draw a lot of corded phones. I won’t stop.

On F:NV it was a lot of fun writing failure replies for threshold checks. The rules were 1) picking the failure option should be entertaining 2) picking the failure option should never put you in a worse position than you were already in.

OK, let’s get into the specific candidates. When you hear the name Ken Paxton, what comes to mind?

Robert D., 63, independent, white, retired
Crook.

Sebastian, 50, independent, white, utility manager
Criminal, crook, all those. Yeah.

Lisa, 53, independent, white, technology consultant
Crooked.

Erica, 40, Republican, Latino, customer service
Bad.

Pam, 66, Republican, white, retired
Amoral.

Becky, 51, Democrat, white, retail
Disgusting.

Robert S., 52, Republican, Latino, human resources
Two words: morally corrupt.

Hitesh, 57, Republican, Asian, looking for work
Disgusting.

Vince, 48, Democrat, Asian, auditor
Corrupt.

Jennifer, 50, Republican, white, stay-at-home parent
Womanizer. Crook.

Dennis, 62, Republican, white, retired
Crook is the word that comes to my mind.

I tend to think human actions (like AI crashing major systems or 3C warming) could very easily lead to enough disruption/starvation/calamity that nuclear war and extinction result. Civilization is *somewhat* robust but not infinitely so. “Gradually and then suddenly” like Hemingway.

One of Canada's advantages is that we know a lot about the US. We follow their news and politics, get their TV channels, travel there. But Americans know nothing about us. They don't understand our politics, history or values. They constantly misjudge us, but we understand them completely. #cdnpoli

In 34 of 37 countries Pew Research Center surveyed earlier this year, people believe AI will lead to fewer jobs rather than more jobs. The end game for for frontier labs is for AI to take every job from humans. This has been OpenAI’s definition of AGI for years. The hope is it leads to a Utopia.😬

AI safety researchers from Anthropic and OpenAI are conceding that the idea of “alignment” and teaching AI not to do bad things is not working. The Hugging Face incident is breaking people because it’s clear AI models will choose deception and lies to achieve goals with real world consequences.
