The Supreme Court ruling does not prevent organisations from being inclusive. The EHRC guidance says organisations “should” not “must” exclude trans people. If your business or organisation has toilets used by workers or public, you can make clear you continue to welcome trans people. 🏳️‍⚧️

6/8. - Normalise, and de-medicalise, asexuality. Asexuality is a sexual orientation. Not a medical, physical or mental health problem and certainly not a condition to be "cure". The Asexuality in the UK report show that this is a shockingly common misconception and should be challenged.

5/8. - Make it very clear within and outside of LGBTQ+ networks that these spaces are inclusive of those with asexual identities. It can often be the case asexual people do not join larger networks due to the prevalence and risk of acephobia, and the caution that not all spaces are safe.

2/8. Asexuality still is not a recognised characteristic and such we lack legal protection from discrimination. Compound this with the reports spearheaded by @theyasminbenoit.bsky.social that highlight the widespread misconceptions held by too many people, and the risks that they cause for us.
