I lowkey promised myself I wouldn't spam folks on here, but THE QUEEN OF THE HIGH FIELDS just got shortlisted for the British Fantasy Awards. Thank you so much to Luna Press and to everyone who voted and read this mad, sad story about two lost girls on the Welsh coast. Diolch yn fawr x
A trope graphic for the novella THE QUEEN OF THE HIGH FIELDS. The novella sits on a pile of autumn leaves surrounded by arrows pointing from story tropes reading: Folk horror, Welsh mythology, hidden island, you and me against the world, arcane archaeology, the past vs the present, and angry misfit girls.A screengrab of the shortlist for Best Novella including And Then I woke Up by Malcolm Devlin, The Entropy of Loss by Stewart Hotston, Interference by Terry Grimwood, Ogres by Adrian Tchaikovsky, Pomegranates by Priya Sharma and The Queen of the High Fields by Rhiannon A Grist.
