A quote from an article about the latest "TikTok trend" - this is one of the worst ideas to prevent kids from making poor choices. We need to help them learn with the tech, not take it away. #DigCit #EdTech #ISTEcert #BlueSky

"Honestly, I think that the best thing to do is go back to old-school books. Then these kids wouldn't have Chromebooks to do these things, and it'd lessen the amount of things they have to watch on social media," said French.

Very interesting! And if Ss make a #Quizizz with the questions, I bet that percentage would go up! @thecoffeenancy.bsky.social did a session about this at #ISTELive in 2023!! Do you remember this @kyleniemis.bsky.social & @quizizz.bsky.social?

Yesterday we began to create our #AI literacy plan for our K-12 district. My brain was exhausted at the end of the day but I'm very proud of the work we did and excited to continue to work on it. Does your district have one? Would love to see it! #EduSky #ISTEcert

Today my son wrote an essay wo/help for his AP World History class. We ran it through an "AI Detector" and it came back 84% created by AI. He tried another assignment, also his own words. 90% positive AI generated. The evidence is clear. #EduSky #AIEdu #EduSky arstechnica.com/information-...

As an #InboxZero person, I love sharing Gmail tips. You've done a fab job w/this thread!! You mentioned filters, but I also love "skip the inbox (archive it)" + add a label. I do this w/newsletters Use ⭐s & search "has: yellow-bang" or "has:blue-star" Snooze & send later are musts for me #EduSky

This is a fantastic tip — especially making a filter for the staff members whose emails you REALLY don’t want to overlook Not just the admin but also the … yknow … uh … the passive aggressive colleague, the easily outraged team member, and your work bestie #edusky #gmailgamechangers

Tip #10: Use voice-to-text to quickly reply to emails Most people can talk faster than they can type. I write and respond to many emails using voice-to-text while walking! I prefer to open the Gmail app on my phone to use the voice-to-text feature of my phone’s Google keyboard. #EduSky 11/12

Tip #9: Snooze emails if you don’t need them for a while When you get an email that you will need later or don’t want to deal with until a later time, you can snooze the email! #EduSky 10/12

open the email or check the box for the email → click the “Snooze” button → select the date/time you want the email to wake up and reappear at the top of your inbox

you can view your snoozed emails in the menu on the left
