iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

A quote from an article about the latest "TikTok trend" - this is one of the worst ideas to prevent kids from making poor choices. We need to help them learn with the tech, not take it away. #DigCit #EdTech #ISTEcert #BlueSky

"Honestly, I think that the best thing to do is go back to old-school books. Then these kids wouldn't have Chromebooks to do these things, and it'd lessen the amount of things they have to watch on social media," said French.

Very interesting! And if Ss make a #Quizizz with the questions, I bet that percentage would go up! @thecoffeenancy.bsky.social did a session about this at #ISTELive in 2023!! Do you remember this @kyleniemis.bsky.social & @quizizz.bsky.social?

Yesterday we began to create our #AI literacy plan for our K-12 district. My brain was exhausted at the end of the day but I'm very proud of the work we did and excited to continue to work on it. Does your district have one? Would love to see it! #EduSky #ISTEcert

Today my son wrote an essay wo/help for his AP World History class. We ran it through an "AI Detector" and it came back 84% created by AI. He tried another assignment, also his own words. 90% positive AI generated. The evidence is clear. #EduSky #AIEdu #EduSky arstechnica.com/information-...

This is a fantastic tip — especially making a filter for the staff members whose emails you REALLY don’t want to overlook Not just the admin but also the … yknow … uh … the passive aggressive colleague, the easily outraged team member, and your work bestie #edusky #gmailgamechangers

Another thing I have been testing with Gmail: - Select a bunch of messages - Download them all as a zip file - Upload the zip file to ChatGPT - Ask ChatGPT to generate a quick summary & highlight anything of great importance - Use "Read aloud" option to have the results read to me #EduSky #EduSkyAI

These are great Becky! Of these tips the one I most often use are filters, labels & templates. Some I might add would be: - Schedule send - write tonight & auto-send in the morning - Undo send - set to 30 seconds to catch mistakes - Offline mail - for when I am on a plane #EduSky #GoogleEDU
