🟣 Underrated #TechSEO Tip Google has a crawl rate limit for every site. If your site is slow, it crawls fewer pages. Faster server response means more pages crawled. More pages crawled means faster discovery of new and updated content.

🟣 Underrated #TechSEO Tip: Don't let visitors leave your website when they hit a 404 error page. Turn that page into a fresh start. Guide them to parts of your site they didn't even plan to visit.

After a few weeks, I finally wrote a case study about recent success 🥳 In short, nearly tripling the LCP led to almost a 70% bounce rate reduction and an 80% increase in page views per visit. www.techseovitals.com/customers/to...

Why is there that jump? After migration, Google crawled all the content again, but it's not going to index it because it no longer holds value for people

Crawled but currently not indexed 🚨 It's not always a problem; sometimes it's actually a goal. In this case, it's a regional news website that also features articles from the previous decade that are no longer relevant to keep indexed. So Google naturally dropped them from the index.

"How is it possible for CrUX to say 90% of page loads are good, and Google Search Console to say only 50% of URLs are good. Which is right?" It's a question I get about Core Web Vitals and I admit it's confusing, but the truth is both are correct because they are different measures... 1/5 🧵

Authentication for your personal crawlers & SEO tools is going to be more and more of a topic. This is a simple guide to get started (though I imagine it'll evolve significantly over time).

To fix this, use one clear H1 heading per page that tells visitors exactly what they'll find. Make it obvious what problem you solve or what service you provide. One heading. Clear message. More visibility. Use H2, H3, H4… tags for other headings. 🧵 3/3

When Google is confused, your pages become invisible in search results. That confusion translates directly to lost revenue. Every confusing page is potential revenue going to competitors who communicate more clearly. 🧵 2/3

🟣 Underrated #TechSEO Tip Confusing page headings might be why qualified traffic isn't going to your content. When pages lack a clear H1 heading or have several competing ones, search engines often can't figure out what you're selling. 🧵 1/3

For technical teams: ➡️ Review your robots.txt monthly or after every update. ➡️ Test with Google's URL Inspection Tool to confirm proper rendering. This five-minute check will protect your entire SEO investment. 🧵 4/4

Your site should render the same for both visitors and search engines. Many businesses discover often late that they've been invisible to Google for weeks because of a single line of code. Don't let a technical detail become a revenue problem. 🧵 3/4

Martin Stepanek @techseovitals.com · 24/09/2025
This simple oversight can tank your visibility within weeks. Meanwhile, competitors can capture all your lost traffic and the revenue that comes with it. The good news? It's an easy fix. Check your robots.txt file in a browser and make sure nothing essential is blocked by disallow. 🧵 2/4

🟣 Underrated #TechSEO Tip Your search rankings will drop if Google can't see your website properly. When JavaScript or CSS files are blocked in robots.txt file, search engines only see a broken version of your site. They often can't understand what visitors actually experience. 🧵 1/4

This is the performance metric that unlocks everything else. Fix your server response time, and watch your other metrics naturally improve. In technical terms, TTFB under 500ms should be your baseline. Review your hosting, investigate database queries, implement a CDN… 🧵 3/3

The fix? Start by reviewing your hosting and server configuration before touching anything else. Then move to optimization of code including plugins you use. 🧵 2/3

🟣 Underrated #TechSEO Tip Slow server response times are hurting your conversion rates. When your server takes too long to respond, visitors bounce before your page even starts loading. Every extra second of server delay mean almost 10% fewer conversions. That's real revenue you’re losing. 🧵 1/3

Slower sites ➡️ fewer visitors ➡️ lost revenue. The solution? 🤔 Replace bloating plugins with own lightweight code. With this strategy, I cut loading time of a client’s websites by over 75%. Their bounce rate dropped immediately. 🧵 2/3

🟣 Underrated #TechSEO Tip Unreliable SEO plugins might be stunting your business growth. Each plugin adds code that loads on every page visit. Three or four cheap plugins can easily add 3-5 seconds to load times, pushing visitors to bounce before they even see your content. 🧵 1/3

The damage adds up when Google de-indexes broken pages or drops rankings for poor performance. The fix? 🛠️ Set up automated monitoring that alerts you when something breaks. Simple uptime monitor tools and weekly crawls can catch issues while they're small. 🧵 2/3

The monthly cost of a VPS is just under $100, and you're looking at potentially thousands more in revenue. It’s a pretty obvious choice if you ask me 😉 #TechnicalSEO #WebPerformance 🧵 4/4

The solution? Move to a VPS (Virtual Private Server) that offers better resources without having to share with many other sites. Just within weeks of switching, businesses can see increases in conversion rate. 🧵 3/4

The problem is most businesses try to fix this by upgrading hosting or buying CDN services - spending more money to compensate for code that shouldn't exist in the first place. I've worked with companies that cut their load times in half simply by removing old plugin in WordPress. 🧵 4/5

Here's where it gets interesting… A mid-sized e-commerce site making $100K monthly could be losing $7,000 each month from just a 1-second delay in load time. 🧵 3/5

Martin Stepanek @techseovitals.com · 11/09/2025
This dead code creates a chain reaction: • Pages take 2-3 seconds longer to load than it should • 40% of visitors leave before the page finishes • Search rankings drop due to website abandonment • Ad campaign budgets wasted when sending traffic to pages that don't convert 🧵 2/5

Martin Stepanek @techseovitals.com · 11/09/2025
I’ve worked with dozens of slow websites and found that most weren't actually underpowered - they were just overloaded with forgotten code. The average business website carries 300-500KB of unused JavaScript and CSS. That's like paying rent for office space nobody uses. 🧵 1/5

RUM captures in-depth data from every single visit - letting me and client’s teams pinpoint and fix issues down to the smallest detail. Result? Complete visibility into what's actually happening when real customers try to make purchases. 🧵 4/4

Martin Stepanek @techseovitals.com · 10/09/2025
Meanwhile, invisible performance issues can crush conversions: • Pages loading differently for various browsers • Critical user paths breaking silently • Peak traffic times revealing bottlenecks The solution isn't complex. I use RUM on top of standard analytics for complete coverage. 🧵 3/4

Martin Stepanek @techseovitals.com · 10/09/2025
Google's standard metrics only capture data from a relatively small sample of visitors - mostly Chrome users on desktop and mobile. That's like judging a restaurant based on an influencer review 😅 🧵 2/4

Martin Stepanek @techseovitals.com · 10/09/2025
Recently, I played with performance data comparing what Google CrUX offers vs full RUM insights. A testing site had amazing Google performance scores, but real-user monitoring revealed something else. The disconnect? 🧵 1/4

No new content needed. No expensive redesigns. Just fixing what was already there but invisible to the human and robot eye. Sometimes, the biggest wins come from the smallest technical fixes that directly impact revenue. 🧵 3/3

Martin Stepanek @techseovitals.com · 09/09/2025
It means potential customers can't find the content at all when this happens. Think about it: ❌ Missed indexing (content investments going to waste) ❌ Poor visibility ❌ Lost organic traffic Although this seems like a lot of work, a simple code audit and cleanup can fix it within weeks. 🧵 2/3

Martin Stepanek @techseovitals.com · 09/09/2025
Hidden code errors that most businesses never check 🤖 When search engines and AI tools encounter broken code early in a webpage, they sometimes give up checking the rest or try to create something from it, which is not always correct or what you want. 🧵 1/3

Martin Stepanek @techseovitals.com · 04/09/2025
The difference? When consent management loads instantly, visitors stay engaged and actually convert better. Treat compliance as a feature, not an afterthought. How often do you see cookie banners pushing content around when pages load? 🧵 4/4
000
Martin Stepanek @techseovitals.com · 04/09/2025
✅ Build lightweight consent management directly into your site instead of using heavy third-party solutions. The results: ➡️ 40% faster load times ➡️ 15-20% better conversion rates ➡️ Full GDPR compliance without the performance hit 🧵 3/4
100
Martin Stepanek @techseovitals.com · 04/09/2025
Here’s what’s happening. Most GDPR tools load as heavy external scripts that block everything else while loading. The worst part is most businesses don't even know this is happening. But there's a smarter approach. 🧵 2/4
100
Martin Stepanek @techseovitals.com · 04/09/2025
I found something surprising while auditing a site last month 🤯 Their cookie consent popup was adding 2.9 seconds to page load time. The math is easy… Every second of delay = 5% conversion loss For a $1M e-commerce site = $150,000 lost revenue from that 3-second lag 📉 #TechnicalSEO #GDPR 🧵 1/4
