A super fun thing about menopause is that even the lightest activity- like say, sweeping my porch when it’s 70° outside- causes my entire head to sweat profusely as though I have run a marathon. Just my head. So my hair goes frizzy and my makeup, if I’m wearing any, is ruined.

So as we’ve learned with so many things, there is no law you can pass through Congress that cannot be overturned in the future. No SCOTUS decision either. A constitutional amendment would be hardest to change but also hardest to achieve. So good luck you bloated scrotum.

You would think if your vet uses an online pharmacy that there would be some urgency in shipping. Like say if your cat has widespread cancer and needs steroids to make her comfortable, you’d like to not have to wait a full week for them.

I don’t know if it has to do with Peggy being sick, but Dottie has become such a cuddlebug. She follows me all over the house, and she curls up on the couch with me at night. Until a month or so ago she rarely hung out downstairs.

And here’s where the apophenia kicks in. I’ve lived in house six years. In that six years my husband died of cancer, I got and survived cancer, and it’s very likely that my once freakishly healthy cat will soon die of cancer. I love this house. Maybe it doesn’t love us back.

Peggy’s ultrasound results show evidence of aggressive cancer in multiple organs. The vet recommends palliative care to keep her comfortable “for a few weeks.” I’m so sick of cancer.

Well Peggy is back from her ultrasound - no results til tomorrow - but she’s more energetic today. Actually hopped out the carrier like she usually does and has been up and down the stairs twice. So I hope that means the antibiotics are finally kicking in.

Weeeeelllll fuck. The vet called back with Peggy’s pathology report. And there are “abnormalities” in her white blood cells. Which could be because of infection like we thought… or could be cancer. So she needs an ultrasound.
