Had nightmares for a really long time where the Field Communications and TV 44 logos would appear on my bedroom wall, burning, announcer's voice laughing at me. Couldn't scream, couldn't call for help. My mom says I watched a movie called Bless the Beasts & Children on there and that started it?

Various sketchy paintings of Klampon from Donkey Kong Country 2, a little blue crocodile guy with a huge mouth and big sharp teeth. Yelling AUGH in one sketch. Against a volcano backdrop in another.

AI has lost the Mandate of Heaven I’m afraid. WSJ saying it’s a “when” the ai bubble bursts. SNL dabbing on their biggest names for being weird. FT says 50% of chips sold in 2026 and 2027 have nowhere to go. Hundreds of billions short on revenue for even 10% ROIC. A disaster.

I'm not much of a Pokémon person, but my son is & trying to buy him cards at retail prices has been nigh on impossible the last couple of years, and I refuse to pay scalpers for anything. So it warms the cockles of my heart to see so many of them having a full meltdown about the recent set. Enjoy!!

there are a lot of "secret" relationships in AEW and in wrestling generally (if you're a fan you probably know who), but I think its important that everyone remembers to respect people's privacy and refrain from weird, parasocial discussion of these relationships. This is not fanfiction.

Asian action genres like tokusatsu, kaiju, martial arts are seen as "cheap" "low budget" genres (they are)! But even a multibillion company falters at "doing it themselves" because what enables these productions isn't a quantifiable resource you can put on an Excel spreadsheet, but "skill" & "craft"

I’m all for rehabilitation when folks screw up, and reacceptance when they do the work. But even when you do the work, you don’t NEED to retain your spot as a public figure. That’s a privilege that you hurt a lot of people by using to boost awful shit.

You can tell who did and didn't do community sports/theatre/etc by how people see volunteering for an activity they are in. The reality is that indie wrestling is more similar to playing a volleyball rec league than being a TV product. Guess who sets up the nets at those rec leagues? The players!!

I would like to see more companies admit this - being a public company no longer means running a successful, thriving business. It strictly means delivering growth to investors, every single quarter, who do not care at all about the product the company sells or the people who produce it.
