Sept. 6, 1978: record producer Tom Wilson died at 47. One of the last albums he (co-)produced (with Larry Fallon) was Bridges by Gil Scott-Heron & Brian Jackson (1977). (He and Fallon had also been working on an R&B opera, Mind Flyers of Gondwana.) #EverythingIsEverythingBook #ProducerTomWilson

If you’re an academic who wants to write for a popular audience, you need to be able to explain what your book is about and why it matters in 3 sentences. I know this goes against all of your training. If you can’t or don’t want to do this, writing for “the public” is not right for you right now.
