"I still always hear music..." #OurFlagMeansDeath #ofmd

Two drawn panels of Ed and Stede from Our Flag Means Death. Stede is on the left. He's smiling, a slight shift in his shoulder as he lifts a hand out of view. He's holding Ed's hand to his chest with the other. There's a faded tattoo of a simple ring on Ed's ring finger. Ed is on the right. He's also smiling, eyes clearly a little more swimmy than Stede's. Stede's hand is cupping his cheek and Ed's arm is slightly lifted, his hand off screen. They're standing in cool, bright light, looking at each other. They're older, still so in love.

A lack of whimsy is sooooo off-putting. I’m sorry, I just can’t rawdog reality. I need to add a fanciful twist. For joy and such.

On this day in 1978, the rainbow flag first flew as a symbol of pride. It was raised at San Francisco Gay Freedom Day.

A person stands supporting the bottom of a huge flag being hoisted. The flag is a rainbow with eight stripes of pink, red, orange, yellow, green, turquoise, indigo and violet.

the most important thing about ofmd is that it's very realistic with all its ups and downs, light and dark, and light again (and this is not a ship edit)

time to dig this up again "Like stuff. Don't be someone that doesn't like stuff. And if you don't like stuff, don't be a dick about it." -- David Jenkins

a re-working of the iconic "i don't like thing" by artist Jonne Bartelds, but with an OFMD twist.
Upper left panel: angry-looking person shouts, "I DON'T LIKE OFMD"
Upper right panel: the person looking up to see sparkles and bubbles in rays of glowing light.
Middle left panel: person sees a (crudely-drawn) Mermaid Stede floating down from above.
Middle right panel: Mermaid Stede hands person a slip of paper.
Bottom left panel: person looks at paper as Mermaid Stede floats away, ascending back up into the sparkles and bubbles.
Bottom right panel: a closeup of the slip of paper, which simply says "OK"

Q: With Ed's rice sack, was it actually made out of sack material and how comfortable was Taika in it? A: Taika loved moving and dancing in it and was upset when we had to put him back into the tight wet leathers.

Con: It's interesting as a queer man to see a romantic queer love story as opposed to a tragic queer love story. I think it's braver to do a romantic queer love story. Had I not been in the show, I'd have been a big fucking fan of it because of that, because it's respectful. #ofmd

Reposting this GORGEOUS Olu for GarlicSoup week!! 🩵✨️ #GarlicSoupWeek

Fanart of Oluwande from OFMD, leaning on his outstretched arms with his chest out and his legs stretched behind him. He is lounging on a white fur rug that has oranges sporadically placed on it around him. He wears a teal corset and skirt, with the corset loosened showing off his chest and stomach. He wears sheer white gloves to his elbow with white flowers on them. He is also wearing a teal head wrap, teal hoop earrings and a pearl necklace. He stares at the camera with small smile. The words "OLUWANDE BOODHARI, SEASON'S BREAKPUT MODEL 2025" are on the right side of him. The words "PHOTOGRAPHY BY: ZHENG YI SAO" are at the bottom left below the fur rug. The background is a light pink with the text being a darker shade of pink.

OKAY, YOU WIN DAVID Fang and Auntie have a Spa Day #OFMD #OFMDfanart

Color sketch of Fang and Auntie having a Spa Day a la Fang and Roach from that one post credit scene in season 2. Both of them have clay masks smeared across their faces and are sitting on the grassy bank with their feet in the water. Fang is holding a bouquet of pink and white daisies and grinning so hard his eyes are shut. Auntie looks somewhat unimpressed but possibly willing to be won over, hands folded in her lap. The shadow of an eel is visible swimming toward Fang.

Q: In S2, Mary Read hints at Edward's old flings. Can you tell us who they were? DJ: I like that she just knew that he had a past and I think that he has a lot of old flings. One of them was Jack. I didn't have someone specific in mind but it did feel like Ed, Jack, Anne, and Mary were a thing.

Artist's interpretation of the S2 Gentlebeard reunion. It was a cut scene, I swear. #ofmd #ofmdfanart

Edward Teach leaning in to kiss the love of his life, Stede Bonnet who is sitting on a red plush and gold chair. Ed cups Stede's face with one hand. Stede's wrapping his stockinged legs around Ed's body and clutching at Ed's arm. In the background is a blue curtain on the right over a green background visible on the left.

I don't think I posted this over here, but some Lucius/Pete I did for a gift exchange a couple of years ago #ofmd #ofmdart

Lucius is sitting on a rock in the middle of the ocean. His legs are bent, and he is looking over his left shoulder flirtatiously. Pete is in the water below him, looking up and smiling and blushing. He is holding out an open oyster to Lucius, a pearl sitting in it. His tail - similar in appearance to an eel - sticks out of the water behind him, the end curling a little.
