The Garlic Soup Week 2026 Ao3 Collection is officially open!! While we would definitely encourage actually posting your fics during Garlic Soup Week (starting Sunday!!!), we know some of y'all like drafting fics ahead of time! archiveofourown.org/collections/...

A screenshot of the TealOranges & Garlic Soup Week 2026 Ao3 collection (by tragicallynerdy). It reads:

Welcome to Garlic Soup Week 2026!! This is our third year of TealOranges & Garlic Soup Week, an OFMD prompt week celebrating all things TealOranges (Jim/Oluwande) and Garlic Soup (Archie/Jim/Oluwande/Zheng), and every other iteration of the polycule you can think of. This collection is a home for any fics written for our week!

Garlic Soup Week runs from October 4-10, 2026, with a prompt list celebrating each individual character and group prompts. You are welcome to continue to add fics after the prompt week ends, as we recognize that sometimes fics made for a prompt week go up later!

The Garlic Soup Linktree (FAQ, Social media links, etc) can be found here.

One last snippet from the fic I'm working on for #GarlicSoupWeek!! In which an injured Jim breaks into Zheng's restaurant and gets more than they bargained for. Archie is here to perform minor surgery and bring out the big guns (pet names) way too early 💪

A screenshot of text reading: A hand pats their cheek, rousing them. These people keep on touching their goddamn face. And Jim keeps letting them, which can only mean that there’s something really, really wrong with them.

It’s Archie. She grins at them, then pulls on a pair of blue gloves. “Alright sunshine, time to dig that bullet out. Any medical shit we should know about? Hospital preference if this all goes wrong and we have to dump your body off somewhere?”

616 words in the doc today, sapphic musicians sequel: ed and terrible lesbian stede's wedding edition may actually get written at this rate. jim and archie (aka throwing knives) get roped into performing...

“You know the words,” Archie said. “We used to do this one at gigs, remember? It just goes, ‘I’m crazy on you! Dun nuh-nuh nuh-nuh nuh-nuhhhhh. Craaaazy on you!’”

“Like ten years ago!” Jim said through gitted teeth. “And there’s definitely more to it than that.”

Digital illustration of black and white Jim about to bowl, holding a teal bowling ball with teal and orange reflection of Olu watching them from the alley seats, and an orange partial background offsetting the lane with stacked pins

Digital illustration of black and white Zheng and Stede looking at a canvas on an easel the viewer can't see. Zheng is smirking, Stede is shocked. They are offset by a red background.

Digital illustration of GarlicSoup waking up under the desert stars.

Photo of pencil sketch of a figure drawing session circle in the back of a bookshop, with a tattooed Archie contorting to pose with one leg in the air, the other folded over her shoulder and on the ground. She has a snake tattoo wrapped around her thigh ending at the snake’s head and forked tongue on her hip. Olu and Zheng are sketching / painting at a desk behind Archie and Jim is working from a chair against the right wall of books.

Alriiiiight, some vampire Zheng/were-creature Jim for y'all today 😘 From an upcoming full polycule Jim/Archie/Olu/Zheng Garlic Soup fic in which an injured Jim breaks into Zheng's restaurant and gets a whole lot more than they bargained for! #OFMD #OFMDfic

Text reading:

“This will probably hurt,” Zheng says, gorgeous dark eyes so fucking close to theirs. Then one hand is gripping their chin, tilting it to the side, exposing their neck. There’s no breath on their skin when she leans in, just the soft touch of lips, then a tongue, wet saliva that they’ve heard eases the pain –

And then she bites them. Long teeth slide into their neck slowly, almost sensually, nothing like the hard tearing of a shifter’s teeth. It hurts, it does, but not like the burning pain in their side. Her hand on their jaw, the press of her body against theirs and soft slide of her hair over their skin, the scent of jasmine perfume mixing with blood – this doesn’t feel like an attack.

It feels like a goddamn lover.

Text reading:

Then Zheng starts to suck, and fuck, god, it’s so much. Jim can’t help the noise that rips out of them, the soft, quiet moan that they’re hoping (dear god they’re hoping) sounds like one of pain and not one of their whole body realizing how good this feels. Warmth spreads through them, chest all the way down to their cock, and they can’t help the way their hips buck.

Jim reaches for Zheng, desperately grabbing her arm with their one free hand, trying to cling on. She bats their hand away, grabs their wrist, and pins their hand up beside their head, all without breaking her bite. She’s strong, so much fucking stronger than they feel, and they can lift a thousand pounds without breaking a sweat.

This is just medical, Jim reminds themself frantically, it’s not hot, it’s fucking not, this is to keep you alive, she hates you –

“Jesus,” Archie whispers across the room, and the lie crumbles apart.

Fuck. Fuck.

A little werewolf and vampire WIP Wednesday for #GarlicSoupWeek - in which an injured Jim breaks into Zheng's restaurant looking for medical supplies and gets caught 😘 #OFMDfic

Text reading:

“Stop fighting.” The words rumble down through them, and the last bit of fight left in Jim withers away. There’s no winning here. They’re too weak, the bullet and blood loss sapping all their strength. “Submit.”

Jim squeezes their eyes shut. They’re going to die here. How fucking pathetic.

In a last desperate bid to survive they fall still, doing what she tells them. She might still tear out their throat even if they submit, but they have to take the chance. Their dignity isn't worth the cost of their life. Not this time, anyhow.

Jim slowly lifts their chin the rest of the way, letting their body fall slack, and whines low in their throat.

Claws gently stroke their throat. A low rumble of approval settles over them like a warm blanket.

“See, that wasn’t so hard,” the wolf laughs, tone bright again. “Now be good and tell Zheng what you’re doing in here.”
