I’ll keep saying it … the old are far more vulnerable to social media lies and conspiracies than the young. They also have a lot more time in which to be brainwashed.

Un error garrafal de la acusación retrasa el auto de juicio oral de la esposa de Sánchez y obliga al juez Peinado a buscar un apaño para salvar sus dos años y cinco meses de instrucción

Taking a trip to Italy and we've decided not to hire a car as unfortunately in my experience cat hire companies are all scams. Every time I've hired they try to get out of giving you an actual car. I don't know why they're not banned or properly regulated.

Everyone already knew James Johnson was dodgy, right? I mean his analysis has always been poor and biased. Worth contrasting him with Luke Tryl, one of the very best political analysts. World of difference.

I've enjoyed Helen Lewis' writing in the past, but this is really poor. Misses the reason people are upset completely. You'd have to live in a bizarre bubble to write this: www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...

Can anyone explain why all these academics have come out in support of a guy who is clearly neo-nazi? What does it achieve for them? Makes em look stupid and a bit racist. So why on earth do it? Half of them aren't even smart enough to understand why he has been suspended!! 🤷

This stopped me in my tracks. An independent study by @qmul.bsky.social has found that after ULEZ was introduced, children’s lungs grew faster in Central London and have now caught up with children outside of the capital. Incredible.

I used to love watching Bill Maher, but he's gone a bit mad now. The other week he said "Mamdani is a Marxist" (yeah Bill, there are no private businesses in New York now, it's true! 🤣🤣) and this week he said "all the Europeans were amazed at our supermarkets during the world cup!" 🤣🤣

It's me, a Telegraph columnist, taking a break screaming bloody murder about fairness in the women's sports I wouldn't be caught dead watching to wax lyrical about academic integrity in sociology, a field I consider to be fake, at institutions I consider to be communist indoctrination centers.

Cambridge's failings in terms of recruitment and oversight, which turned an internal HR mess into a widely reported and then politically instrumentalised issue, will need substantial internal investigation. But so much Anglosphere Right wing discourse in these cases comes down to projection

It was quite telling how at a time when an authoritarian American President and a reactionary American tech oligarch clearly left the bounds of sanity so much of the Anglosphere Right became obsessed with the frailties and blunders of a relatively obscure black British professor

Chris Philp being interviewed on Times Radio by Stig Abel, about boats and prisons. He at no point mentions that both these problems arise during the Tories 14 years in government. One day I will get an answer as to why UK media have memory holed 2010-2024?! Why??

I had cause to make this remark earlier today but I lot of people should spend more time applying the test “is he a good writer or do I just agree with him?”, because half these tributes to Liddle would, if not disappear, at least he a lot shorter if they did.

If ten Russian ballistic missiles landed on Barcelona, would Europe do anything? Yes of course! The Danes, Finns and Italians would demand we be kicked out of Schengen, and that's about it 😬

I really don't see how this nightly bombing of Kyiv is sustainable for Europeans. We can't just sit here and watch. People are going to think "if our leaders accept one massive city being bombed, will they accept us being bombed?"
